KEIN KAFFEE brewing instructions

KEIN KAFFEE brews just like coffee —
with a few simple tips to get the very best cup.

Lupine grounds naturally absorb more water and expand during brewing, so giving them a little extra room helps achieve a smooth, balanced extraction.

• Allow space for expansion
Lupine grounds swell more than coffee. Leave a bit of extra room in your filter, French press, or portafilter so the grounds can bloom properly.

• Add slightly more water
Because the grounds absorb more liquid, using a touch more water keeps the brew from becoming too strong and preserves the clean, roasted flavor.

• Choose a coarser grind
A medium‑coarse grind works best. It allows water to flow evenly and gives the grounds the space they need to expand.

• Never tamp
KEIN KAFFEE should remain loose in the portafilter. Tamping compresses lupine grounds too tightly and restricts water flow, especially in espresso machines.
